Work in Progress

It was suggested by my mentor when I started out, to maintain two, or if possible, three new titles. When I first published I had my next book lined up. Having more than one book on the go creates a boost to my confidence–if I stumble on one story, I can leave it aside and make progress on another.

The key thing for me to keep in mind is that it’s better for a story to take a bit longer if necessary to ensure that it’s good enough. I’ve learned from watching other authors produce less than decent work, that impatience cannot be allowed to win. Take it steady, and get it right.

I will maintain more than one new title listed as my Work in Progress, but I’m not going to be certain which one will make it to publication first.

Okay, so they’ll be published, as they say, in no particular order.
