Hello, my favourite people, and I hope all your New Year’s resolutions have been dealt with by now, either fulfilled or discarded. I’m not a fan of making such things pubic, although I do occasionally promise myself I’ll try to complete a minor task or two by a particular time.

Fortunately, I haven’t locked my next story into a publishing time frame, but I did promise myself I’d give every effort to making it a good standard for you, my faithful followers.

Towards the end of last year I was focused on Feminised by my Boss, and it was going well, right up until a conversation with someone in the real world captured my imagination, and a new story idea was born.

Crossdressed to Survive has taken me slightly longer to get into because my aim with the story is to create an environment in which the main character can make certain choices, but under duress rather than in a normal situation. To avoid it becoming a tale in which the person is forced into doing things, I’ve had to rewrite certain passages. To create realism, I must also, as usual, ensure there is a cohesive backstory to make the characters more than cardboard cutouts.

This next book will have taken longer than I intended but you can expect to see it on the virtual shelves by mid-March. I’m grateful for your patronage and in this case for your patience.

I can now announce that New Tricks is out there on the virtual shelves of Amazon, and after much effort, I trimmed it down to novella length. I could feel the characters taking over, and it might easily have expanded beyond my intended story.

At first, as I said in my September bulletin, I was working simultaneously on Feminised by my Boss. Then, as usually happens with me, while thinking of the experiences of someone I’d heard about, I played around with Crossdressed to Survive. Yes, the new story idea is not only born, but is also developing rapidly.

As you’ll see from my Work in Progress, I have the first chapter of one of the stories available for comment, but the other isn’t posted yet because I may change the intro chapter.

I may not have a new title published in December. I will post a bulletin to update you, lovely people, on which story is progressing and is likely to be published in January or February 2026. I will, as usual, have a promotion running for a week around Christmas.

No, you’re not seeing things. I amended the title of my latest release. It was originally Crossdressed for my Stepdad, but as the story developed, the main character was crying out for more than one partner. As a considerate author, I obliged, and as a naughty, sexy person, so too did my primary character.

Crossdressed and Curious is now available on Amazon and, of course, Kindle Unlimited.

I promised you, my faithful readers, that I’d report on my two new strategies, which, to remind you, were taglines and using Pinterest.

As an author who doesn’t use paid advertising, I was keen to see if using taglines on my covers would create more interest in my titles. Judging from the sales figures and interest in my brand over the past two months, I’d say taglines work.

On the subject of Pinterest, there are those who say it is more effective than other, regular social media used by authors. Yes, it may be more effective in that the graphics, and therefore the titles, are on view for longer without requiring adjustments or updates. It is, however, similar to other social media platforms in the respect that it requires continual engagement.

For several weeks, I posted book covers and titles, offering excerpts from my books, and during that period, I saw views increase dramatically. However, it would be foolhardy to suggest that the idea generated substantial interest in my brand. For now, I’m leaving my pages there as they are, and perhaps when I publish a new title, I’ll post the cover and an excerpt to maintain interest.

I already use two design programmes to create my covers, and I’m not prepared to spend money or time on making my presence on Pinterest any fancier. Conversely, this is not because I’m not prepared to part with money for advertising, it’s because I don’t write to make money. My primary reason for producing my work is that I love writing erotica and entertaining readers.

Feminised by my Boss, and New Tricks are now vying for my attention, so one of them will be published in November.

Before I report on my tagline experiment, or my new subtle advertising venture, my latest naughty tale is now on the virtual shelves. Crossdressing, Curiosity, and Marriage is available on Amazon, both to buy and, like all of my titles, to rent on Kindle Unlimited.

Now, regarding the tagline experiment and my latest advertising ploy. In June I added taglines to my covers, and although it wasn’t sudden or substantial, there was an increased interest in my titles, according to my sales figures.

My next move was to create covers with book excerpts to post on my Pinterest account, and here, I saw tangible results. In my first week, I had ‘monthly’ viewing figures of 135, my second week, 250, my third week, 400, and my fourth week, 750. Okay, it doesn’t mean that all those people have bought into my brand, but it has proved that my covers, in general with or without quotes, were eye-catching, and for now, that will do for me. I’m hoping that by my next bulletin in September my monthly viewing figures on Pinterest will exceed 1,000, but whatever the number is, I’ll tell you guys. It takes time before such ideas bear fruit, but I’ll also know by then if the idea of taglines and quotes has improved sales.

I’m now writing Crossdressed for my Stepdad, and Feminised by my Boss. As I usually do, I’m working on the next two stores simultaneously. It prevents me from falling foul of writer’s block, and it means that within a couple of weeks, I could find myself developing one of them more quickly than the other. Whichever one reaches final editing first will be published late in September or early in October.

My next monthly update isn’t due for a couple of weeks, so this is a supplementary.

I wanted to tell you guys about my most recent experiment. Just as much as I’m prepared to try something new regarding sexual matters, I have a similar attitude to my writing and the promotion of my books. Things started slowly for me, but once I had a few titles out there, my brand gained moderate success. Like anything, there is always room for improvement.

You’ll recall that in June, I updated my covers to show a tagline. There was interest in my books before, but occasionally there were days when I didn’t see a sale, or any page reads on Kindle Unlimited. Since I completed the task of adding a tagline to my covers, I’ve seen sales and page reads daily, and the improvement has happened rapidly.

I made a few notes, and as June slipped into July, I commenced a new strategy. I’d checked out Pinterest a couple of times, but I wasn’t sure it would do much for my brand. I read a couple of interesting articles and watched a lengthy YouTube video by Melissa Bourbon, and got to work. Apart from displaying my covers, I added tags, links,  and, for fun, personal quotes. I saw a slight uplift in views within a week, and now, after two weeks, the views have increased again.

I’ll leave the publicity side of things alone now and concentrate on completing my next story, Crossdressing, Curiosity, and Marriage. I’ll check my Pinterest views and Amazon sales and report on them again in my September bulletin.

My July news is a few days early because I’ve just completed a task that I believe will give my brand a boost. Unusually, this bulletin is not about a new release, but rather about something I’ve considered for quite some time. Regardless of genre, a book cover has several components, each playing a part in capturing the attention of prospective readers. For example, we have the title, imagery, colour palette, typography, tagline, and series information (if any).

Authors who are traditionally published usually leave the cover design to those who are paid to create them, and some indie authors also have the funds to hire professionals for their cover designs. I’m an indie author, and apart from saving money, I like to think I have a good eye for cover design, so I create my own.

Until now, I’ve employed most of the accepted items in my covers, but not taglines. A close friend, who is a successful author, has used taglines on his covers for many years and recently suggested I try it to see if it improves my sales.

What difference does a tagline make?

Take a look at the two images for Caught En Femme used in this bulletin. With a good title in a suitable font, and appropriate imagery, the genre ought to be clear, but until a person reads the blurb, there is no more to go on. A tagline, however, can be described as a mini-blurb. It’s a concise introduction to the story, and sometimes, as in this case, supports the image.

I spent three days reworking all my covers and updating my website. If I see a marked difference in the interest shown in my brand, I’ll tell you guys in one of my next monthly bulletins.

My next proposed publication is Crossdressing, Curiosity, and Marriage, which will investigate what might happen if a crossdressing husband is discovered by his wife, but she decides not to end their marriage. I hope to publish this novella in August 2025.

Available is … well, available on Amazon. For this novella, I returned to a younger main character, but with mature characters as the main supporting cast. I think the idea worked for the story, so I look forward to any comments or reviews.

As usual, I’ve been alternating my efforts between two stories which as I’ve mentioned before, prevents me from falling foul of writer’s block, but also reduces the time gap between my publications. I still put in the same effort into my editing and rewriting, but maintaining multiple works in progress continues to prove useful for me.

My next proposed publication is Crossdressing, Curiosity, and Marriage, which will investigate what might happen if a crossdressing husband is discovered by his wife, but she decides not to end the marriage. I hope to publish this novella in August 2025.

I recently visited a friend, and partly due to what I picked up in conversation, as well as my own observations, I came up with an idea for a new story. I had a tale in mind, and a cover created for A Curious Young Man, but I’ve now amended the cover and the plot of the story. The new title is Crossdressed for my Stepdad. While I was still considering what I’d learned when visiting my friend, I got the new tale underway. Unusually, I’m not sure where this story will go, but I look forward to the characters offering some assistance.

Mature Submissive Crossdresser is available, and I hope it appeals to you all. I’ve used the ‘mature’ theme again with this one because my other titles with an older main character are proving popular. For those unsure, the others are, Dressed to Thrill, Crossdressing, Transformed, and Older, Bolder, Crossdresser.

I’m so pleased to see that however many readers I have out there, my website and brand are now being followed regularly by 35 of you lovely people. I hope the numbers will rise as my latest story is picked up on Amazon. As with all of my titles, the new one is available on Kindle Unlimited.

As usual, I have more than one new story underway, but my next one will be Available, which sees me return to a younger main character. I’m aiming to publish early in June.

In other news, I’ve refreshed my menu again. When a visitor peruses the main menu now the ‘Single Volume’ novels are broken into two groups (A-L, and M-Z) so that all the titles in a sub-menu will all be visible without the need to scroll to the bottom of the screen.

Forced Feminisation is now available, and I hope, as always, that it appeals to you all.

Seeing so many sales of the three books I reduced in price to promote at Christmas was great. I’m also delighted to find more people subscribing to my website to keep up with my brand.

Although I relaxed for a couple of days during the festive period, I was eager to continue working on Forced Feminisation. As the story progressed, I knew it needed a different, more appropriate cover. It took a while, and I had three images lined up before making my final decision. As usual, I found a suitable model easily, but the cover needed a good background. I enjoyed creating the new solution.

I have two more titles underway from my list of ideas, and I’m presently not sure which will be published next. It will be Mature, Submissive Crossdresser or Available. Whichever captures my attention and imagination should be published in late March or early April.
