Some time ago I took the advice of somebody who has a few titles under their belt.

‘Prepare more than one title before publishing the first.’

My first available title was Neighbourhood Watch, but I had two other stories underway and at different stages. My mentor suggested working on two stories simultaneously which I did and it’s how I still write.
